Privacy policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains in plain language what information Yo lo Tengo uses, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

We process the name, email address, phone number and profile details you choose to add. If you create a business, product, review, question or campaign, we also process the information, prices, schedules, categories, photos and descriptions you submit.

Location

With your permission, Yo lo Tengo uses your device location to show nearby businesses and results. Your current location may update while you use nearby search. If you choose a place manually, we use that place until you decide to use your current location again. You can change location permission in your device settings.

Messages and media

We process the information needed to deliver conversations, including messages, photos, voice notes and delivery details. Supported conversations are protected before leaving the device. People in a conversation may keep their own copy of content you send.

Purchases, subscriptions and promotions

Apple or Google processes payment details. We receive the information needed to recognize a completed purchase, apply promotional credit, determine whether a subscription is active, and provide the purchased benefit. We do not receive your full card number.

Points programs and digital cards

When you join a business points program, we keep your membership, accepted terms, point balance, rewards and activity. A business owner or authorized cashier may record the amount of an eligible purchase that was completed outside Yo lo Tengo, together with an optional sale reference, to calculate points. They see only the limited customer and card information needed to complete that action.

If you add a card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, we share the card design, abbreviated member information, identifier and current balance needed to create and update the pass. Apple or Google handles the copy stored in Wallet under its own privacy terms.

When you register a loyalty or gift card, we retain your name, issuing country, identification document number and mobile phone number to identify the holder, prevent duplicates, verify redemptions and recover the card. The complete document and phone numbers are stored encrypted and may be viewed by the holder and the authorized issuing business in the card details. Protected identifiers also support lookups and verification. Full document and phone numbers are not included in the QR code or Wallet. You may request access, correction or deletion at soporte@yolotengo.club even without an app account.

How we use information

We use information to create and protect your account, show relevant results, connect people with businesses, deliver messages and notifications, process requested benefits, answer support requests, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

Reports and safety reviews

If you report a conversation and confirm the report, you authorize the safety team to review only the latest five messages needed to understand the case. Those messages are not copied into the notification email. Depending on the review, we may remove content or restrict a business or account.

Report evidence is kept while the case is reviewed and is removed 90 days after resolution, unless a longer period is required by law or to protect users.

Support requests

When you contact support, we use your contact email, category, subject, message and tracking number to answer and follow up. Requests are received at soporte@yolotengo.club and are kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve them and meet legal or safety obligations.

When information is shared

We share information only when you choose to publish or send it, when a company helps us provide account access, notifications, payments or hosting, when it is needed to complete an action you request, or when law and safety require it. We do not sell personal information.

How we protect information

We limit access, protect information while it is sent, reduce unnecessary collection and monitor for misuse. No online service can promise absolute security. Companies that help us may process limited information in other countries under their legal and contractual safeguards.

How long information is kept

We keep information while your account is active and for the time reasonably needed to provide the service. Some purchase, fraud, dispute or safety records may be retained for the period required by law. The account-deletion page explains what happens when you ask us to delete your account.

Your choices and rights

You can update profile information, choose a manual location, change device permissions, manage subscriptions through your device store and request account deletion from the app. You may also ask to access, correct or delete your information using the support contact below.

Children and policy changes

Yo lo Tengo is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to use an online marketplace in their country. If you believe a child provided information without valid permission, contact us. Important changes to this policy will be published here with a new effective date.

Gift card information

The business provides the recipient's email and an optional message. We process them to deliver the gift and register it to an account with that verified email. We retain the issuer, currency, amount, balance and applicable history of issuance, registration, redemptions, refunds and validity changes.

The email provider receives the information needed to deliver the message and link. The issuing business and authorized staff access the limited information they need to operate the gift card. We use records to show balances, handle questions and disputes, prevent misuse and meet applicable obligations. Opening the information link does not consume the gift or make a payment.
